François Modave

François Modave, MS, PhD ,is the ITM’s Loyola University Chicago’s Affiliate Leader, where he holds multiple appointments: Director, Center for Health Outcomes and Informatics Research (CHOIR) and Chair, Department of Health Informatics and Data Science at the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health.

His main area of focus is developing sound, reliable algorithms for clinical decision-making, supporting software, and integration with EHRs, particularly for early cancer detection and weight management.

As Director of CHOIR, François is responsible for educating and engaging faculty, health care professionals, resident physicians, and students in the fundamentals of health outcomes research and data-driven health care delivery and outcomes. CHOIR brings together the expertise and resources to leverage informatics and big data in health care to improve health care and health equity to benefit patients and is a collaborative initiative with Loyola University’s clinical partners: Loyola University Health System and Trinity Health.
