Les Cooke is the ITM’s Clinical Research Regulation and Training Lead. He is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the daily operations of the ITM’s Workforce Development and Regulatory Knowledge and Support programs. Les coordinates finances, meetings and events, and program services across ITM institutions.

Prior to joining the ITM team, Cooke spent nine years as Regulatory Compliance Administrator for UChicago’s Biological Sciences Division Institutional Review Board and eight years managing a research lab in UChicago’s Department of Nephrology.

He holds a master’s degree in animal sciences with a focus in reproductive physiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Outside of research, Cooke enjoys gaming, sports, and traveling to warm places.
