ITM investigator Elbert Huang, MD, is part of a team of multi-institutional experts working with Walgreens’ new Center for Health & Wellbeing Research that launched Aug. 15.
The online research platform is home to more than 50 Walgreens outcomes studies that have been completed over the past six years, covering everything from access to care to digital health to HIV.
The site aims to help improve patient care, and it was born from a partnership between Walgreens and academic institutions, including Johns Hopkins Medicine, the Scripps Institute, Northwestern University, the University of California San Francisco, and University of Chicago Medicine.
UChicago’s Huang has been working with the Walgreens team, and their collaborations have led to scientific publications in Health Affairs and the Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities.
