The University of Chicago Biological Sciences Division (BSD) has appointed an Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM) director as its new Vice Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Doriane Miller, MD, ITM’s Director for Health Equity Integration, will serve as BSD’s most senior DEI expert and oversee the Office of Diversity & Inclusion.

“The position provides me with the opportunity to promote the mission, vision, and values of our institution, specifically, embodying equity,” Miller said. “I am deeply honored to be selected for this position.”
