Join ENACT for their Grand Rounds featuring a presentation from Griffin M. Weber, MD, PhD, FACMI, Associate Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Informatics, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center & Harvard Medical School, on “Addressing Data Quality Limitations of Electronic Health Records Using Computed Phenotyping.” Dr. Weber will discuss how healthcare system processes, such as clinic schedules and billing practices, can lead to apparent “data quality” issues when using electronic health records for research. Several approaches, including machine learning–based “computed phenotypes,” will be described. These algorithms, integrated into the i2b2 software platform, are currently used at several ENACT network sites.
