Supported by the National Science Foundation, the Polsky Center I-Corps program helps students, researchers, and faculty test the commercial potential of their research and ideas. Early-stage STEM technologies are the best fit: no prototype, proof-of-concept data, or prior business experience required.
Over six weeks, participants complete four educational sessions, four coaching meetings, and 20 customer discovery interviews with industry stakeholders to explore how a research discovery could reach the market. Along the way, they expand their industry networks, identify potential partners, and gain access to additional NSF funding, including $50,000 through the National I-Corps program.
Sessions meet in person on October 9, 16, 30 and November 20 from 1:30–3:30 p.m. Applications are due Friday, September 4 and can be accessed here. To learn more, visit the Polsky Center website or contact Crystal Camargo at crystal.camargo@chicagobooth.edu.
