The Searle Funds at ITM partner The Chicago Community Trust has renewed funding to the Chicago Biomedical Consortium (CBC), continuing a dynamic partnership for research and education collaborations between UChicago, Northwestern University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The CBC is an engine for innovation, powered by the brilliant faculty of three world-class institutions. It is this level of innovation that will distinguish cities competitive in the 21st century.

With the help of the CBC, investigators can now use core facilities at all three CBC universities at “in house” costs. CBC University Provosts have signed a pioneering Memorandum of Understanding (Open Access Initiative) that allows researchers from the three schools to access a partner’s core facilities without paying additional F&A charges.
