Tandean Rustandy, MBA’07, recently donated $20 million to UChicago, which will establish the newly named Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation. The Rustandy Center, housed at UChicago’s Booth School of Business, will support social innovation and entrepreneurship at the university. Formerly known as Chicago Booth’s Social Enterprise Initiative, this center has funded the work of ITM investigators, including Stacy Lindau’s NowPow, which connects community members with the health resources they need.
“I’ve been blessed by God so what I have I need to give back, and I want to give to an institution that can create so much—not just for the U.S. but for all the world. That is why I want to give this gift to the University of Chicago and to Booth,” Rustandy said.
