This fall, the Polsky Center is offering a free, non-credit course in science entrepreneurship. The course is open to current graduate students, faculty, researchers, and staff conducting scientific research at UChicago, Argonne National Lab, Fermilab, and the Marine Biological Laboratory. Taught by Chicago Booth Professor Robert Altman, PhD, a scientist and entrepreneur himself, the course introduces core entrepreneurial frameworks and connects participants with entrepreneurs and investors, focusing on how scientists can bring their own research and inventions to market. Neither a team nor an existing idea is required.

Five sessions meet Tuesdays 5–8 p.m. — October 6, 13, 20, 27 and November 3 — at the Harper Center (October 13 at Hyde Park Labs). Applications are due Friday, September 18 at 3 p.m. CT and can be accessed here.
