An Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM) research collaborator has been named the inaugural chair of the newly established Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Chicago.
Nishant Agrawal, MD, Professor of Surgery, will assume the role on August 1, 2026. Dr. Agrawal is an internationally recognized surgeon-scientist whose research focuses on improving head and neck cancer detection, monitoring, and surveillance through genomics and molecular diagnostics.
