Facilitated by Dr. Nicole Woitowich, Executive Director of the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, this discussion will delve into the critical issue of healthcare misinformation, drawing on examples from major crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The conversation will highlight the challenges of countering false narratives, the strategies used by experts to combat misinformation, and the broader implications for truth and trust within the U.S. healthcare system.
In-person attendance will count towards the NIH in-person RCR training requirement.
