Are you an early career physician-researcher at the University of Chicago impacted by family caregiving responsibilities during COVID-19? Get up to $30,000 a year with the SECURED: Supporting Early Career University Researchers to Excel through Disruptions program. This new program from the UChicago Biological Sciences Division aims to help researchers maintain productivity in the face of the significant time commitment related to family caregiving. Eligible faculty include instructors, assistant professors, and first year associate professors who have 50% or more effort devoted to research. Priority will be given to women, those from groups that are underrepresented in medicine or science, those who are disabled, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
