SUMMARY:Call for Abstracts: 2024 International Population Data Linkage Network Conference
DESCRIPTION:The International Population Data Linkage Network (IPDLN) conference brings together experts in population health, data linkage, social sciences, and policy. The conference will take place for the first time in Chicago this year from September 15th through the 18th!\n\nThe call for oral, poster, and rapid fire presentation abstracts is now open! You’re invited to submit abstracts addressing the 2024 theme, Adapting to a Changing World.\nAdapting to a Changing World topic areas include:\n\nData linkage methods (DLM) – Methodological developments, including software and algorithm development, privacy enhancing techniques, linkage quality assessments, and novel uses of AI.\nData infrastructure and related methods (INF) – Addressing the challenges of cross-sectoral and cross-jurisdictional data linkage, featuring integrated and federated systems, tiered access mechanisms including data enclaves, automating data quality assessments, and interoperability.\nResearch using real-world data (RWD) – Innovative use of linked datasets to measure outcomes in health, housing, justice, education, transportation, and environment domains; analyses of demographic characteristics, including race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity; insights related to post-Covid-19 research; and program evaluations.\nEthical, legal and social implications (ELSI) – Research on responsible and legal uses of population data, including public engagement and involvement; data governance; collecting and incorporating user feedback; AI considerations when using population data; and communities of practice.\n\nAll presented abstracts will be posted on the IPDLN website and published in the International Journal of Population Data Science (IJPDS).\n
