DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in helping find answers to health problems you or your family and friends are facing? Learning more about health research and team up with researchers to design a study tackling health issues you care about?\nApply today for the Community Leaders Institute from ITM-Illinois Tech! You’ll learn about community-engaged research, why it’s important, how you can team up with researchers, and the long-term impact science can have on communities like yours. At the end of the training, you’ll have the choice to match with a researcher to work on a health-related research topic.\nThe series will take place on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on May 17, May 24, May 31, and June 7. The first session will be held in-person at Illinois Tech, but the others will be virtual. You’ll get up to $500 for participating, depending on how much of the training you attend!\nThis opportunity is open to all adults who are interested in working with researchers!\n
